SPRINGFIELD - Arthur Baumann, 84, of Springfield, died Saturday, Oct. 31, 2009, at Immanuel-St. Joseph's Hospital in Mankato.

A service of remembrance will be held Friday, Nov. 6, at 10:30 a.m. at Sturm Funeral Home in Springfield with burial at St. Raphael Catholic Cemetery.

Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Thursday and 7:30 a.m. until the time of the service on Friday at the funeral home.

There will be a parish prayer service at 5:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Arthur Carl Baumann was born Jan. 28, 1925, in Springfield to John and Mary (Nachtman) Baumann.

He is survived by wife Alice of Springfield; children, Chuck of Springfield, Linda Brown of Springfield, and Jean Halvorson of Sanborn; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; a stepson Mick Hauptli of Clements, and a stepgranddaughter.
