NOTICE OF INFORMAL PROBATE OF WILL AND APPOINTMENT OF PERSONAL REPRESENTATIVE AND NOTICE TO CREDITORS
Notice is given that an application for informal probate of the Decedent's Will, dated June 29, 1999, ("Will"), has been filed with the Registrar. The application has been granted.
Notice is also given that the Registrar has informally appointed Karen M. Zupfer, whose address is 19355 Perry Road, Council Bluffs, IA, 51503, as personal representative of the Estate of the Decedent. Any heir, devisee or other interested person may be entitled to appointment as personal representative or may object to the appointment of the personal representative. Unless objections are filed with the Court (pursuant to Minn. Stat. 524.3-607) and the Court otherwise orders, the personal representative has full power to administer the Estate, including after 30 days from the date of issuance of letters, the power to sell, encumber, lease, or distribute real estate.
Any objections to the probate of the Will or appointment of the Personal Representative must be filed with this Court and will be heard by the Court after the filing of an appropriate petition and proper notice of hearing.
Notice is also given that (subect to Minn. Stat. 524.3-801) all creditors having claims against the Estate are required to present the claims to the personal representative or to the Court Administrator within four months after the date of this Notice or the claims will be barred.

Board Minutes
September 22, 2009
Members Present: Firchau, Karl, Kunz, Peterson, Remus, Weikle
Members Absent: Kinzler, Winter
Chairperson Peterson called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.
Motion by Remus, second by Weikle to accept the minutes from the August 25, 2009 Regular board meeting. Motion carried.
Motion by Weikle, second by Remus to approve the amended agenda. Motion carried.
Motion by Firchau, second by Karl to approve the bills and wire payments as listed on the check registers dated August 28-31, September 1-25, September 16 and September 23, 2009 for a total of $188,418.64. Motion carried.
Director Wintz updated the Board on River Bend Programs and Services.
Personnel Action:
Motion by Karl, second by Kunz to accept with regrets the resignation of Beth Kretsch. Motion carried.
Motion by Weikle, second by Karl to hire Heidi Anderson as an educational assistant. Motion carried.
Motion by Karl, second by Firchau to hire Rosanne Schapekahm as an educational assistant. Motion carried.
Motion by Weikle, second by Karl to table the tentative settlement agreement until language items can be worked out and a "Memorandum of wording understanding" can be attached. motion carried.
Motion by Weikle, second by Remus to approve the River Bend Education District Employee Handbook as presented. Motion carried.
Motion by Karl, second by Firchau to revise the ALC calendar allowing the Parent/Teacher conferences to move to the prior week. Motion carried.
Motion to close the meeting:
Motion by Board Member Weikle to close the meeting Pursuant to the Open Meeting Law, Minnesota Statutes Section 13D.05, subdivision 3(b), as permitted by the attorney client privilege, to discuss with legal counsel a pending Minnesota Department of Human Rights Charge of Discrimination involving River bend Education District. The motion was duly seconded by Board Member Kunz, and upon vote taken thereon, the following voted in favor of: Firchau, Karl, Kunz, Peterson, Remus, Weikle
The following voted against the same: none
Motion carried.
The meeting closed at 7:46 PM.
Motion by Weikle, second by Karl to reopen the meeting at 8:08 p.m. Motion carried.
