MLC takes Morris in 5

NEW ULM - The Martin Luther College volleyball team pulled off a five-set thriller over Minnesota-Morris Friday night in Upper Midwest Athletic Conference play.

The Knights beat the Cougars 23-25, 28-26, 25-17, 19-25, 15-9.

MLC had four attackers with double digit kills led by Emily Boldt with 15. Carrie Fritzler and Jaime Eternick each had 11 and Amanda Burk added 10 kills. Katelyn Hauf also contributed eight kills for the Knights.

Brianne Jeffers had 27 set assists and Eternick added 15 assists and 16 digs. Renee Peters had 22 digs.

MLC (13-16, 6-7) hosts Presentation in the season finale at 1 p.m. today. The match will also be the MLC Dig Pink match so all fans in attendance are encouraged to wear pink.
