GIBBON - Marjorie "Marge" Lenz, 84, of Gibbon died Tuesday, Oct. 27, 2009 at the Abbott - Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis.

Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 31 at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Gibbon with Pastor Michael Gorte officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be 4 - 7 p.m. Friday at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in Gibbon and will continue for one hour prior to the time of service at the church on Saturday. To leave an online condolence for her family or to sign the guestbook go to: www.mvfh.org.

Marjorie is survived by her daughters, Laury Knoll and her significant other, John Tornow of Gibbon, Linda Lenz and her husband, Pedram Sabouri of San Jose, Calif.; grandchildren, Robert Knoll, Jeffery Knoll, Emily Claus, Catherin Claus, Arman Sabouri, Shireen Sabouri; sister, Linda Dahl of Albert Lea; brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Beverly Neve of Albert Lea. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Arnold Lenz on Oct. 27, 1969; sister, Erlis Flugum; and brothers, Bill Neve, Bernard Neve, and Kenneth Neve.

Marjorie Elaine Neve was born on July 29, 1925 inWalters to Albert and Elma (Heidemann) Neve. In March of 1959 she was united in marriage to Arnold Lenz at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Gibbon. Marge had worked as head cook at the Gibbon High School for twenty five yearsandalso she had worked at Barb's Cafe in Gibbon, Hands in Winthrop, and MRCI in New Ulm. She enjoyed cooking, visiting, making strawberry and lemon pies, bowling, crocheting, driving her car, and solving crossword puzzles. Marjorie was a fifty year member of the Immanuel LutheranChurch in Gibbon and was a member of the Ladies Aid at church.
