Mustangs sweep ACGC, Nicollet wins

BLH 3, ACGC 0

HECTOR - Buffalo Lake-Hector swept Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City 25-11, 25-19, 25-18 Tuesday in Section 2A, North Subsection playoff action.

BLH was led by Lilli Cole who was 7-for-7 serving with an ace, 11 kills, and one dig. Karlee Ilgen was 13-for-14 serving with one ace, four kills, and one dig. Ashley Kiecker had six kills and eight set assists.

For ACGC, Paige Wilner was 13-for-14 serving with one ace, seven set assists, one kill and four digs. Hailey Williams had four blocks, six kills and five digs. Miranda Hopp had six kills and 14 digs, Lauren Kinzler also had 14 digs.

ACGC ends the season at 10-13 and BLH plays Monday at Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop.

Nicollet 3, GHEC/ML 0

NICOLLET - Nicollet swept Granada-Huntley-East Chain/Martin Luther 25-21, 25-18, 25-19 Tuesday in Section 2A, South Subsection playoff action.

Jenna Mettler had 16 kills, 10 digs and was 12-for-12 serving with three aces for Nicollet. Also for the Raiders was Kasslin Swenson who had seven kills, was 14-for-15 serving and also had two blocks. Anna Skrien had 23 digs and Taylor Meurer had 35 set assists.

Nicollet (26-3) hosts St. Clair at 7 p.m. Monday.

MCW 3, Springfield 0

SHERBURN - Martin County West swept Springfield 25-15, 25-12, 25-12 in Section 2A, South Subsection volleyball action Thursday.

For the Tigers, Katie Timm had 13 set assists and 12 digs and Tiana Runck had six kills and 10 digs.

Maddie Pieschel had 17 digs and three kills and was 9-for-9 serving. Morgan Hanson had three kills.

Lester Prairie 3,

CM/C 1

LESTER PRAIRIE - Lester Prairie defeated Cedar Mountain/Comfrey 24-26, 25-19, 25-21, 25-23 Tuesday in Section 2A, North Subsection playoff action. Beth Ochs led CM/C with 29 set assists, seven kills and 12 digs.

Also for the Cougars was Kayla Mathiowetz who had 15 kills, two blocks and 11 digs. Nicole Kerkoff had 16 kills, one block and 23 digs and Corrie Tews had 25 digs, four kills, three set assists and one block.

CM/C ends the season at 10-14.
