Cougars sweep St. Peter, BLH wins

CM/C 3, St. Peter 0

MORGAN - Cedar Mountain/Comfrey swept St. Peter 25-16, 25-19, 25-13 Monday in nonconference volleyball action.

Beth Ochs had 14 set assists, six digs and nine service points and Corrie Tews had 12 service points and 11 digs. Kayla Mathiowetz had 13 kills and eight service points and Kate Robinson had nine digs and eight service points. Nicole Kerkhoff finished with 11 digs for the Cougars.

BLH 3, Wabasso 1

WABASSO - Buffalo Lake-Hector defeated Wabasso 25-14, 25-18, 24-26, 25-23 in Tomahawk Conference action.

For BLH, Lilli Cole had 12 kills and six ace serves and Michaela Wolff had 17 set assists. Karlee Ilgen had 10 kills and Ashley Kiecker had 14 set assists and six kills.

For Wabasso, Morgan Samyn was 22-for-24 serving with four aces, 18 set assists and 12 digs. Jordan Martin had 13 digs and Paige Pistulka had nine kills for Wabasso (6-7). The Rabbits are at Minneota Thursday.

Nicollet 3, Cleveland 0

NICOLLET - Nicollet swept Cleveland 25-12, 25-14, 25-14 in Valley Conference action Monday.

Jenna Mettler led the way with 10 kills and Erin Radke had eight kills. Kasslin Swenson had seven kills and Taylor Meurer had 35 set assists.

Nicollet is at Blooming Prairie Thursday.

GFW 3,

Redwood Valley 1

REDWOOD FALLS - Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop defeated Redwood Valley 25-17, 14-25, 25-10, 25-20 in nonconference volleyball action.

For the Thunderbirds, Lexi Platz had 32 kills and Cheyenne Briese had 14 kills and 23 digs. Kayla Schuette had 29 digs and Stephanie Howe had 44 set assists. GFW (20-7) hosts Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City Thursday.
