Crosby - Millie Schmidt-Simonton, 75, of Crosby, formerly of Brownton, died on Oct. 14, 2009, at Cuyuna Regional Medical Center in Crosby.

Services will be 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 19, 2009, at the Dalin-Hantge Funeral Chapel in Winthrop, with burial in the Winthrop Cemetery.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the services.

Mildred "Millie" Jean Simonton was born on May 2, 1934, in Cylinder, Iowa, to Henry and Celina (Wirtz) Schmidt.

Millie is survived by her children, Becky Peterson of Hutchinson, Rita Wendlandt of Litchfield, Kevin Clapp of Fargo, N.D., Lori Broll of Hutchinson, Vicki Roberts of Motley, Lisa Keeler of Hutchinson, and Keith Clapp of Silver Lake; 20 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; sisters, Arlene Lindstrand of Spicer, Bernadine Messner of Brownton, Mary Ann Thiem of San Marcos, Calif., Viola Messner of Peoria, Ill., Marjorie Bucklin of Hutchinson, Gladys Graudenmann of Hutchinson, and Dorothy Alsleben of Silver Lake; and brothers, Eldwin "Sonny" Schmidt of Winthrop, and Lyle Schmidt of Hutchinson.
