Krenz achieves national recognition

NEW ULM - Joyce Krenz of Century 21 Koeckeritz Realty has been awarded the Seniors Real Estate Specialist (SRES) designation by the Seniors Real Estate Specialist Council of the National Association of Realtors (NAR).

Krenz joins more than 16,000 real estate professionals in North America who have earned the SRES designation. All were required to successfully complete a comprehensive course in understanding the needs, considerations, and goals of real estate buyers and sellers aged 55 and older.

SRES Council, founded in 2007, is the world's largest association of real estate professionals focusing specifically on representing senior clients in real estate transactions. There are more than 16,000 active members of the organization world-wide. The NAR, "The Voice for Real Estate," is America's largest trade association, representing more than 1.3 million members involved in all aspects of the residential and commercial real estate industries.

Wendel receives award

NEW ULM - Don Wendel of Horace Mann Educators Corporation (NYSE:HMN) has received an insurance industry award. The National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA) in Southern Minnesota has presented Wendel with the National Multiline Sales Award.

Wendel, a Horace Mann agent for 25 years, is a past winner of Horace Mann's President's Service Award, which recognizes agents for outstanding service, and he holds a Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) designation from the American College.

Wendel is on the board of directors of the New Ulm Community Concerts Association, a member of the New Ulm Sertoma Club, an usher at St Mary's Church and a member of the church's cemetery board. He is past vice president of the Minnesota State Chapter of the National Wild Turkey Federation and active in the local wild turkey chapter.

Hoffman completes training

NEW ULM - James W. Hoffmann, LUTCF, has successfully completed the Blue Cross-Blue Shield Medicare Certification Training for 2010. Hoffmann is now certified for the sales and service of Medicare supplements to include Medicare Blue RX Option D and Medicare Blue products.
