ST. JAMES - Ronald M. Lindquist, age 61, of St. James, died on Thursday, October 8, 2009 at the St. James Medical Center in St. James.
Funeral services will be 10:30am, Tuesday, October 13, 2009, at St. James Catholic Church with Father Thomas Cook officiating.
Burial will be at St. Michael's Catholic Cemetery in Morgan, MN.
Visitation will be at Sturm Funeral Home in St. James on Monday from 4pm until 8pm and will continue at the church one hour before the services on Tuesday.
Arrangements are with Sturm Funeral Home in St. James.

Ronald Marlow Lindquist was born in Sleepy Eye, MN, on May 3, 1948 to parents Marlow and Delores (Meyer) Lindquist. Ron grew up in the West Sveadahl area where he attended rural school through the sixth grade. In 1966, he graduated from St. James High School where he was also Homecoming King that year. Ron continued his education at Jackson Vo-tech where studied carpentry and meat cutting. He then went to work as a meat cutter in New Ulm and then Green Giant in St. James. Ron then drove truck for Blashowske Trucking of Fairmont for many years then drove for Bossharts of Truman. Ron married Marie Wersal in Morgan on May 20, 1978. Ron retired in 2004 following heart problems.
Ron enjoyed fishing and hunting. He loved to socialize and spend time with family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Gary Lindquist. Ron is survived by wife Marie Lindquist of St. James, brothers, Randy Lindquist and fiancee Cristy of Fairmont, Kevin (Josephine) Lindquist of Medford, brothers-in-law Gerad (Cindy) Wersal of Prior Lake, Joe (Sharon) Wersal of Winthrop, Greg (Kris) Wersal of Morgan, sister-in-law Rosann (Allan) Plotz of Clemments and many nieces and nephews.
