October 6, 2009
The Journal

COMFREY -A 35-year-old rural Comfrey man sustained numerous injuries Sunday evening in an incident in which debris from a silo fell on him, according to information from the Brown County Sheriff's Department.

Jason Schroepfer, 10616 Co. Rd. 9, Comfrey, and his brother Jacob were attempting to demolish a concrete silo with a tractor and a skid loader.

The silo collapsed, dropping cement chunks and rebar on top of Jason, who was operating the skid loader.

Sleepy Eye Ambulance and Brown County Sheriff's deputies stabilized Schroepfer until Mayo 1 helicopter landed at the farm site and flew him to St. Marys Hospital in Rochester.

The exact extent of Jason Schroepfer's injuries were not reported by the sheriff's department.
