POSTED: September 30, 2009

REDWOOD FALLS - The Brown-Lyon-Redwood Drug Task Force, assisted by numerous local, state and federal officers executed six search warrants on Friday, Sept. 25 for felony-level drug-related offenses in locations in and around Redwood County. The operation resulted in five immediate arrests. As the investigation continues, more arrests are expected.

The arrests are the result of a coordinated four-month investigation by the Brown-Lyon-Redwood Drug Task Force. The Task Force was aided in the investigation and execution of the warrants by the Redwood County Sheriff's Office, Brown County Sheriff's Office, Lyon County Sheriff's Office, Redwood Falls Police Department, Marshall Police Department, New Ulm Police Department, Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension, United States Drug Enforcement Agency and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms, and the Minnesota State Patrol K9 Unit.

Arrests were made on Sept. 25 in Renville, Brown, and Redwood counties, as over 40 officers from these agencies gathered in rainy weather to execute the search warrants. The investigations covered a much larger part of the state.

The joint investigation targeted marijuana use, cultivation, and sales in the Redwood County area and resulted in arrests for possession of marijuana, methamphetamine, and mushrooms.

Those arrested made a first appearance in Redwood County District Court on Monday, Sept. 28 according to Patrick Rohland, Redwood County Attorney. Charges have been filed in Redwood County against Jesse Reyes, 41, Franklin; David Lawrence Eisenbarth, 58, of Morgan; and Michael John Eisenbarth, 53, of Morgan. Charges are pending in Brown and Renville counties.

The Brown-Lyon-Redwood Drug Task Force continues its investigation and believes further arrests are likely.
