Lakeview defeats Wabasso in four sets, Knights lose

Lakeview 3, Wabasso 1

WABASSO - Lakeview defeated Wabasso 25-17, 23-25, 25-21, 25-17 in nonconference volleyball action Monday.

For the Rabbits, Jordan Martin had four ace serves and five kills and Paige Pistulka had three ace serves, nine kills and five blocks.

Mistin Price had 16 digs and five kills and Morgan Samyn had 12 digs and 18 set assists. Kimberly Frank had 15 set assists and Alexis Johnson had nine kills.

Wabasso (3-4) hosts Minnesota Valley Lutheran Tuesday.

Truman 3, St. Mary's 0

TRUMAN - Truman swept Sleepy Eye St. Mary's in nonconference volleyball action.

Truman won the match 25-9, 25-10, 25-23.

Nevada Helget led St. Mary's with 13 set assists and was 16-for-16 serving with two aces. Neah Helget had five ace kills and seven digs. Madeline Schmitz had four ace blocks and and four ace kills.

For Truman Shelby Wiederhoeft had 17 kills and was 13-for-14 serving with four aces. Bailey Wendt had nine kills. Jordan Feis was 15-for-16 serving with seven aces. Becca Hintz had 10 digs.

St. Mary's (3-5) is at Cedar Mountain/Comfrey today. Truman (13-4) is at Nicollet Thursday.

BLH 3, HLWW 2

HECTOR - Buffalo Lake-Hector defeated Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted 25-16, 14-25, 20-25, 25-21, 15-8 in nonconference volleyball action Monday.

Lilli Cole led the Mustangs with 11 kills. Karlee Ilgen had nine kills as did Remi Werner. Ashley Kiecker had 20 sets and Mechaela Wolff added 19.

BLH (8-6) hosts Cathedral today.

New Ulm 3, Fairmont 2

FAIRMONT - New Ulm improved to 4-1 in the South Central Conference with a 25-10, 23-25, 25-21, 16-25, 15-10 win over Fairmont Monday.

For the Eagles Rachel Holstein had 16 kills and 12 digs. Anna Hildebrandt had 10 kills and Marissa Klimmek had 17 set assists, was 23-for-23 serving with three aces and four blocks. Faith Collum had 14 digs and Jill Gareis was 30-for-30 serving with five aces and 14 set assists.

New Ulm (6-6, 4-1) is at Blue Earth Area Thursday.
