Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, July 31, 2009 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Sauk Rapids for Marian C. Fredrickson, age 92, of Sauk Rapids who died Tuesday at the Country Manor Villa Apartments in Sartell. The Rev. Paul Cloeter and Rev. Harvey Ehlers will officiate. Entombment will be at Sunset Cemetery in Minneapolis. Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Thursday at the Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home in Sauk Rapids and one hour prior to the services Friday at the church in Sauk Rapids. Trinity Lutheran Church prayers will be at 7:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home in Sauk Rapids.
Marian was born October 23, 1916 in Lemon, SD to James & Donna (Tripp) Clark. She moved to Minneapolis where she completed her nurses training at Eitel Hospital. She served her country as a Lieutenant in the United States Army Air Force during WWII. She married Marcus Fredrickson on January 4, 1947 at First Presbyterian Church in Minneapolis. She worked as a nursing home administrator at various nursing homes in the following communities, Lafayette, Tripp, SD, Wakonda, SD. She moved to Golden Valley after retirement. She also worked as a Public Health nurse in her later years. She moved to Sauk Rapids in 1990 and was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Sauk Rapids and WAVES of St. Cloud. She enjoyed gardening, all types of animals especially dogs and birds, crossword puzzles, watching TV especially Dancing with the Stars, playing piano. She volunteered at Tri County Humane Society. She treasured her family and friends .
Survivors include her children, Jim (Midge) of Lafayette, Bruce (LaVonne) of Pearl Lake, Nanette Quade (Gary Anderson) of Minneapolis; 8 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother, Floyd Clark and his wife Eleanor.
