Anxiety Support Group meeting set
MANKATO -The National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) of Minnesota sponsors free support groups for persons with anxiety disorders.
The groups help individuals develop better coping skills and find strength through sharing their experiences.
An Open Door Anxiety and Panic support group meets in North Mankato at 8 p.m., on the first and third Thursday of the month at the Belgrade Avenue United Methodist Church, 325 Sherman St.

New Ulm Swim Club to hold waffle brunch
NEW ULM - The New Ulm Swim Club will hold an all-you-can-eat Dad's Belgian Waffle Brunch from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 25 at the New Ulm National Guard Armory (located at 205 N. Broadway).
Adult tickets cost $6 in advance and $7 at the door. Children ages 6-12 will be $5 (children age five and under eat free. Tickets are available at Hy-vee and CashWise Foods. Carry-outs will be available.
Franklin's 34th Annual Catfish Derby Days planned
FRANKLIN - Franklin's 34th Annual Catfish Derby Days will be held July 24-26 in Franklin.
The event features a full weekend of various events.
A highlight will be a chess tournament on Friday and Saturday. The registration starts at noon on Friday with a 1 p.m. start time. For more information contact: James Kanne at 507-557-8334.
A queen contest/variety show is set at 7:30 p.m. on Friday at the Cedar Mountain Elementary School followed by a square dance from 7-9 p.m. on Friday on Main Street.

Ken & Ken Show Concert planned
NEW ULM - Concerts in the Park series will present the Ken & Ken Show at the featured concert at the National Night Out.
This event will be held at the Brown County Fairgrounds.
National Night Out Rally planned
NEW ULM - New Ulm's 12th Annual National Night Out rally will be held from 5-8:30 p.m. on Monday, July 27 at the Brown County Fairgrounds.
There will be music from the youth band Polis from 5-6 p.m. followed by the Ken & Ken Show from 6:45 - 8 p.m. Then at 8 p.m. there will be demonstrations from the New Ulm Police Department on the grandstand infield.
Kiddie games will be available from the New Ulm Park District and Optimist Club, the big fire department safety hopper will be there and Target will have giveaways for kids.
There will also be a silent auction and information tables from local groups and organizations.
This event is sponsored by New Ulm Fire and Police Departments, New Ulm Park and Recreation, MBW and Target.
