NEW ULM - Carol Ann Braun, 49, of New Ulm, MN died on Wednesday, July 15, 2009 at her home.

Visitation will be at Sturm Funeral Home in Sleepy Eye on Monday from 4:00 to 7:00 PM and on Tuesday from 7:30 to 10:00 AM. There will be a parish prayer service at 7pm Monday at the funeral home.

Service will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Sleepy Eye on Tuesday, July 21, 2009 at 10:30 AM. The Clergy will be Msgr. Eugene Lozinski. Interment St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery

Arrangements are with the Sturm Funeral Home in Sleepy Eye, MN.

Carol Ann Braun was born on February 19, 1960 in Sleepy Eye, MN, the daughter of Linus & Lois (Pelzel) Braun. She grew up in Sleepy Eye and graduated from Sleepy Eye Public High School. After graduation she attended culinary school in Mankato. Carol was a chef at various cities in Southern Minnesota. She later worked as a factory worker, most recently at 3M in New Ulm. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Sleepy Eye. She enjoyed sewing, baking, traveling, her dog and cats and most of all her nieces and nephews. Carol was a very kind and generous daughter, sister and friend and will be sadly missed.

She is survived by her parents, Linus & Lois Braun of Sleepy Eye, sisters, Janette Moldan of New Ulm, Debra (Jon) Brown of Grand Prairie, TX, brother, David (Elke) Braun of LeSueur, sister-in-law, Anna of Louisville, KY and many nieces, nephews and other relatives in the area. She was preceded in death by her brother, Douglas in May of 2008.
