'A Ride to Remember' set

SEARLES - "A Ride to Remember" will be held on Saturday, July 18 beginning downtown Searles at the Searles Bar & Grill.

The public is welcome to attend "A Ride to Remember" to honor those people who are fellow bikers who are no longer alive.

The group will gather downtown Searles, Minnesota Hwy. 15, south of New Ulm.

The registration will be held at noon with a 1:15 p.m. start time.

The ride will travel through New Ulm to County Road 29, to Boundary St. then to State Hwy. 4 via N. Broadway and Nicollet County Roads 14 and 5 through St. George. Other places will include: Fairfax, near Morton, Springfield, Comfrey, Hanska and returning to Searles. The ride is approximately 118 miles or three and a half hours.

This ride is a free and voluntary event. A Ride to Remember is not affiliated with any other group or organization.

NU Municipal Band concert scheduled

NEW ULM - The New Ulm Municipal Band will give a free outdoor concert at 7 p.m. today at German Park.

The concert features marches, old standards, Broadway melodies, patriotic songs, and music from Germany.

In case of inclement weather the concert will be held in the New Ulm Community Center. People should tune into KNUJ for the announcement.

Concert in the Park to feature Sleepy Eye Concertina

NEW ULM - Sleepy Eye Concertina will be featured as the next concert in German Park.

The concert begins at 7 p.m. Monday, July 20 with the puppet wagon show at 6:15 p.m. In case of poor weather, the concert moves to the New Ulm Community Center. Call 354-9041 for more information.
