SLEEPY EYE - The Sleepy Eye Area Chamber of Commerce has named Lifetime Eyecare Center its 2009 Business of the Year. Dr. Jim Hutchins and staff were honored at a city-wide banquet May 17 at the Sleepy Eye Community Center.
"We're very pleased to celebrate the contributions made by Lifetime Eyecare Center to our community. Our award recognized Dr. Jim Hutchins and his great staff for their commitment to state-of-the-art eye care and their outstanding participation in many community organizations that advance the quality of life in the Sleepy Eye area," said Julie Schmitt, executive director.
"We are honored and humbled by this recognition from our community," said Dr. Hutchins, who has been in family optometric practice in Sleepy Eye Eye since 1980.
Lifetime Eyecare Center provides primary eye care for people of all ages, from infants and toddlers to senior citizens. Dr. Hutchins practice is well respected within the Minnesota Optometric Association for its leadership in technological advances in preventative and diagnostic eye care, a press release states.
