Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Schmucker Funeral Service in New Ulm and one hour prior to the service at the church.

Robert Carl Iverson, the son of Elwood and Grace (Cochran) Iverson, was born June 21, 1961 in Medina, OH. As a child, he moved with his family to Belton, MO and Duncanville, TX before settling in Belview where he graduated from Belview High School in 1979. Bob attended Alexandria Vo-Tech and became a diesel mechanic. Over the years, Bob worked at Kohls in Redwood Falls, Fox Brothers in Sanborn, Schmitty & Sons in Lakeville, and Brown County Tire in New Ulm. He owned his own garage, Bob's Garage, in Belview for a time. For many years, he was in charge of the fleet of buses for BDRSH. He was currently employed at NAPA in New Ulm.

Bob married Kerri Kasten on May 14, 1988 at Belview. Bob's son, Kameron, was the pride and joy of his life. They shared a love of mechanics and spent many hours together in the garage. When Kameron was too young to ride on a motorcycle, Bob bought a sidecar so they could go on adventures together.

Bob was united in marriage to Ann (Trautmiller) Polich on February 15, 2003 at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in New Ulm. The couple made their home in New Ulm. Bob was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church in New Ulm where he was active in the Joe on the Go Bible study group. Bob enjoyed motorcycles, cars, sprint car racing, and drag racing at Grove City. He was an ASE Certified Master Technician. He was the 1986 Super Sportsman Track Champion at Redwood Speedway. Although Bob won many trophies in his racing career, one of his most cherished was a "Wally" he won in 2005 at the Grove Creek Raceway while driving his 1979 Camaro Rally Sport. Bob loved racing and took great pride in the fact that he built his own engines and cars. He was a member of the Flying Dutchmen Motorcycle Club in New Ulm.

Survivors include his wife Ann; son, Kameron Iverson, both of New Ulm; daughter, Jacquelyn Erickson of Farmington; step-son, Thomas Polich of New Ulm; godmother, Shirley Danielson of Belview; mother-in-law and father-in-law Tom and Doris Trautmiller of St. George, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law Sue and Daryl Trautmiller and Michael and Elizabeth Trautmiller, all of St. George, Dawn and Brad Becker of El Paso, TX; nieces, nephews, cousins, and aunts.
