SLEEPY EYE - Keith R. Schultz, 66, of Sleepy Eye, died on Friday, Jan. 9, 2009 at his home surrounded by his family.

Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Monday at Sturm Funeral Home in Sleepy Eye and from 9:30-10:30 a.m. on Tuesday at the Faith United Methodist Church in Sleepy Eye.

Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 13 at Faith United Methodist Church in Sleepy Eye. The Clergy will be Pastors Carter Krumbach and Marvin Repinski. Interment Home Cemetery in Sleepy Eye with military rites by the Sleepy Eye Honor Guard.

Arrangements are with the Sturm Funeral Home in Sleepy Eye, Minn. The family would prefer memorials be made to the donors choice in leiu of flowers. E-mail condolences may be sent to the family via www.sturmfh.com

Keith Richard Schultz was born on June 17, 1942 in Springfield, Minn., the son of Adolph and Alice (Frederiksen) Schultz. He graduated from Sleepy Eye Public High School. After graduating from high school Keith enlisted in the U.S. Air Force. While stationed in Newfoundland, Canada he met Ann Margaret McNeil and they married on April 11, 1964. They returned to Minnesota in October 1964 and Keith worked for Kraft Foods in New Ulm until 1972 at which time he joined Schultz Cafe to take over for his ill father. Keith and Ann together ran the cafe until their retirement in April 2007. Keith enjoyed golfing, playing cards with his friends and spending time with his children and grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Ann of Sleepy Eye, son, Scott (Dawn) and children, Andrew, Zachary and Jamie Schultz of Willmar, daughter, April (Doug) Weber and children, Michael, Allie and Kabrie, daughter, Barb (Jason) and children, Kyle and Sydney Windschitl, son, Steve (Heather) and children, Jacob and Cody Schultz, all of Sleepy Eye, sisters, Peg (Phil) Hensley of Fairmont, Judy Christensen of Sleepy Eye, Debbie (Dan) Fischer of Sleepy Eye, brother, Bradley (Patti) Schultz of Morgantown, Ind., mother-in-law, Emma Mae Young of Newfoundland, sisters-in-law, Rose (Bill) Evans of Sleepy Eye, Mary Baird of Ill., brothers-in-law, Limbert (Marion) Young, Eugene (JoAnn) Young, Walter (Wanda) Young, Alphonsus Young, all of Newfoundland and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Adolph in 1972, mother, Alice in 2007, brother-in-law, Grant Christensen in 1999 and sister-in-law, Mariah Young in 2007.
