Accident at Sanborn Corners

A traffic collision late Tuesday morning at the Sanborn Corners of U.S. Hwys. 14 and 71 injured three people and caused severe damage to the two vehicles involved. The State Patrol said the collision involved a 2002 Mitsubishi, driven by Theresa M. Lillis, 19, of St. Mary's, Kan., and a 2000 Buick LeSabre, driven by Constance A. McGee, 87, of Lamberton. The collision was reported at 11:41 a.m. McGee, Lillis and Lillis' passenger, Julie C. Zapp, 19, also of St. Mary's, were treated at Springfield Community Hospital and released. Both cars were totaled.
