Public meeting to notify Clements residents of sex offender’s move to town
REDWOOD FALLS - Officials have scheduled a public meeting to notify residents about a Level 3 sex offender who plans to move to Clements.
The Redwood County Sheriff's Office announced last week a community notification meeting scheduled for tonight (Dec. 2) in Clements.
The sheriff's office and the Minnesota Department of Corrections are conducting the meeting, which will be held at the Clements American Legion at 6 p.m.
A press release said Thomas Hurl Bolter, 25, is scheduled for release on Dec 7. Bolter served a sentence for having sexual contact with juvenile females, which included penetration, who knew Bolter.
The release said the sheriff's office is releasing the information pursuant to a state law that authorizes law enforcement agencies to inform the public of a predatory offender's release from prison or a secure treatment facility when agencies believe the information will enhance public safety and protection.
Anyone with questions can contact Sheriff Rick Morris at (507) 637-4036.
