Farm-City Day coming Nov. 20
NEW ULM - The second annual KNUJ 860 AM/SAM 107.3 FM Farm-City Day Celebration will be held Thursday, Nov. 20, in the Youth Coliseum at the Brown County Fairgrounds in New Ulm. The event is from 6:30 to 10 a.m. The public is invited to attend.
A free breakfast will be served from 6:30 to 9:30 a.m. to the first 600 people in attendance, live polka music and entertainment, live radio broadcasts, door prizes, exhibits, and more are all part of the kick-off to National Farm-City Week. A flu shot clinic will be available and free blood pressure checks will be offered.
"The Farm-City Day Celebration will have something for everyone to enjoy," stated KNUJ AM 860/SAM 107.3 FM General Manager, Jim Bartels. "We hope the celebration will grow and expand every year in observation of National Farm-City Week. We are excited to be working with the Farm-City Hub Club and the New Ulm Area Chamber of Commerce to plan this great event."
National Farm-City Week will be observed from Friday, Nov. 21 through Thanksgiving, Nov. 27.
A collection of non-perishable food item(s) will be taken for the Brown County Food Shelf.
St. Paul's Ladies Aid celebrating its 120th Stiftungsfest Thursday
NEW ULM - The Ladies Aid at St. Paul's Lutheran Church will celebrate its 120th Stiftungsfest, or anniversary of its founding, on Thursday at New Ulm Country Club.
Social hour starts at 5:30 p.m., with a picture at 6 p.m.. Dinner starts at 6:30 p.m., with entertainment by "The Laughing Lady."
Humane Society fundraiser Thursday
NEW ULM - Tickets are still available for the Brown County Humane Society's Wine, Beer and Food Tasting fundraiser, which will take place Thursday at the New Ulm Holiday Inn.
Holiday food appetizers wil be provided by Hy-Vee, and there will be a silent auction.
Advance tickets are $20, and are available at Hy-Vee. Tickets at the door will be $25.
