MORGAN - Morgan Police Chief Bob Fischer is the only candidate for file for mayor in the Nov. 4, 2008 general election.
Morgan City Attorney Michael Boyle recently told the Morgan City Council that the Minnesota Attorney General's Office said it would not rule on the Fischer's mayoral election eligibility and that the issue would be decided by the Morgan City Council, if Fischer is elected mayor next month.
On top of that, the Morgan City Council has two vacant seats to fill.
