Howard Orlyn Coyour, 80, of Springfield, MN died on Sunday, June 29, 2008 at Springfield Medical Center in Springfield, MN.
Visitation will be 4- 8 p.m. Wednesday, July 2 from and from 7:30 - 8:30 a.m. on Thursday July 3 at the Sturm Funeral Home in Springfield, Minn. Visitation will also continue on Thursday from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the Chapel of the Good Shepherd at St. John Lutheran Home in Springfield, MN.
Service will be held at Chapel of the Good Shepherd at St. John Lutheran Home on Thursday, July 3, 2008 at 10:30 AM. The Clergy will be Pastor Carl Seamon and Chaplain Mary Pauluk.
Interment will be at the Springfield City Cemetery.

Howard was born September 7, 1927 in Hartley, IA. He moved to Fairmont, MN with his family, and graduated from Fairmont High School in 1946. Serving in the U.S. Army until 1948, he returned to Fairmont to work with his dad at the lumber yard. On Oct. 27, 1950 he married Scot Fisher in Trimont, Minn. They moved to Springfield in 1963 to operate a Sears Catalog Agency. In 1982 he joined the Springfield Hospital as purchasing agent, retiring in 1999. For many years he was the Springfield Ambulance coordinator. He was a long time member of St. John's Lutheran Church.
Survivors include his wife - Scot of Springfield; son - Lee of Willmar; a daughter - Cindee and husband Jim Clausen of Burnsville; sister - Claris Delyea of Northwood, Iowa; sister-in-law - Sally Stewart of Mankato, formerly of New Ulm.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter Marsha in infancy; son Grant in 1999; sisters - Norma Jean in childhood and Nita and husband Marion Rankin; and a brother-in-law - Donald Stewart.
Memorials are preferred to Springfield Ambulance Service, Springfield Health Care Foundation, St. John Lutheran Home Foundation or St. John Lutheran Home - Riverhaven Unit.
