Hillesheim gets 1,000th point
ST. JAMES — Cedar Mountain/Comfrey/Springfield’s Whitney Hillesheim recently eclipsed the 1,000 career points mark in a track and field event at St. James Friday.
She placed first in all four of her events and set her own personal record in the triple jump with a mark of 34-feet-4-1/2 inches.

Rabbits win
finale
MILROY — Wabasso defeated Red Rock Central/Westbrook-Walnut Grove 13-3 in nonconference baseball action Wednesday.
Dan Frank got the win for the Rabbits. He went 4 2/3 innings, allowing three hits and three runs. He walked five and struck out nine.
Shane Schoborg took the loss. He pitched two innings, allowing six runs and five hits. He walked three.
Mike Wotschke was 2-for-3 with a single, a double and three RBIs for the Rabbits. Mike Gronli went 3-for-4 with two doubles and two RBIs and Jacob Bierl went 2-for-4 with a triple and three RBIs.
Colton Knudson led RRC/WWG offensively, going 2-for-3 with an RBI.
Wabasso (15-5) opens Section 3A play when it hosts Southwest United at 10 a.m. Saturday.
