Jeanette Barfknecht

GAYLORD — Jeanette Barfknecht, 72, of Gaylord, died  Monday, May 12, 2008, at Abbott-Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis.

Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m., Friday, May 16, at American Lutheran Church in Gaylord, with burial in High Island Cemetery, New Auburn.

Visitation will be 4 -8 p.m., Thursday, May 15, and 7:30 - 8 a.m., Friday, May 16, at Egesdal Funeral Home in Gaylord. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service at the church.

Jeanette May (Duenow) Barfknecht was born on May 26, 1935, in Brownton to Alfred and Ida (Kohls) Duenow. 

She is survived by her husband, Marlyn Barfknecht of Gaylord; children,      Lynn Grochow of Gaylord,  Patti Senske of Gaylord,   Merri Pierson of Silver Lake, Jon Barfknecht of Maple Grove, and  Joni Thiem of North Mankato; 14 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sister, Bernice Tuchtenhagen of Winthrop; and brothers, Lawrence Duenow of Arlington and Lloyd Duenow of Glencoe.
