Joel A. Dummer
FAIRFAX— Joel A. Dummer, 57, of Fairfax, died Tuesday, May 6, 2008, at the New Ulm Medical Center.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m., Saturday, May 10, at the American Legion in Fairfax, with burial in Ft. Ridgely Cemetery, Nicollet County, with full military rites by the Fairfax Honor Guard.
Visitation will be 8:30- 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, at the American Legion.
Arrangements are being handled by the Hauser-Hantge Funeral Chapel in Fairfax.
Joel Arthur Dummer was born on January 10, 1951, in New Ulm, to Herbert and Rosella (Liebl) Dummer.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War from May 19, 1971, to Sept. 7, 1972. He received the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal with two Bronze Service Stars, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, and Expert Rifleman.
Joel is survived by his: wife, Anna Dummer of Fairfax; and siblings, Willie Dummer, Jim Dummer, Rosanne Dummer, Myron Dummer, Lucille Heuton and Allan Dummer.
