RAPID CITY, S.D. — “Joy comes in the morning”, was a favorite saying of our very dear loved one, Sandria Mae Friske, who went to be with our Heavenly Father on April 17, 2008 at the University of Colorado Hospital in Denver. She prayed for God’s Grace and the Precious Blood of Jesus on everyone, each morning. She loved the Lord with all her heart and her family and friends dearly. She was a light to everyone she met. When anyone was troubled, she would say, “God is greater than any of our problems, turn it over to him”. She would never let any earthly problems steal her joy of the Lord, waking up each morning with a smile.

Sandria met John at the BH Water Ski Show where she was a performer. After their marriage in Fall River County, they started their home in Rapid City, after several years moved to New Ulm, Minn. and returned to Rapid City in 1981.

Sandria dedicated her life, energies and talents in many different ways to help others. In Minnesota she won awards for the American Heart Association including top chairperson for the state. She also sat on the Board of Directors for the Humane Society in RC and the West River History Conference, of which she is a published author. She helped to create many memories with the photography and photo finishing business she had with John. During her lifetime she was also a dance instructor for Arthur Murray, participated as Belle Star and Calamity Jane for the Shoot Out in Hill City and much more. She was an active Mom with her children in scouting, dancing and horseback riding. She traveled with her family on many vacations around the country.

Services were held on Saturday, April 26 at Open Bible Christian Center, in Rapid City. Arrangements are with Kirk Funeral Home in Rapid City, S.D. Friends may sign Sandria’s online guestbook at www.kirkfuneralhome.com
