Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. on Thursday, March 27 at the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Nicollet with Pastor Luke Myslik officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 - 8 p.m. on Wednesday, March 26 at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in Nicollet and will continue on Thursday for one hour prior to the time of the service at the church.
Linda is survived by her husband, Eldor Krohn of Nicollet; daughter and sons-in-law: Anita and Dave Holmin of Nicollet and Jonn Rice of Rapidan; son and daughter-in-law: Marvin and Laurie Krohn of Nicollet; grandchildren, Dawn and Mark Toth of Lakeville, Erik and Casey Dunker of St. Peter, Anna Dunker of Kaiserlautern, Germany, Louis Krohn and fiancé Erin Follett of Nicollet, Paula and Mike Kral of New Ulm, Richard Krohn of Nicollet; step grandchildren: Angela (Holmin) Nessler, Emily Holmin; seven great-grandchildren and three due this summer; sisters and brother-in-law, Helga and George Haedt of St. Peter, Edie and Chris Graves of Henderson, Colo.; brother and sisters-in-law, Egon and Eunice Mutzke of Mankato, Lorraine Krohn of New Ulm, and many nieces, nephews and relatives in Germany.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents; parents; daughter Ingrid Rice in 1998; granddaughter, Renee Rice in 1998; one sister and brother in their youth.
Linda Mutzke was born on July 4, 1932 in Germany to Richard and Martha (Bloch) Mutzke. On Oct. 9, 1950, Linda, her parents, two sisters and one brother moved to the United States, where she helped on the farm and was a homemaker.
On April 26, 1952 she was united in marriage to Eldor Krohn at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Mankato. She enjoyed watching and feeding the birds, gardening, flowers, baking, knitting slippers, vacationing in Arizona from 1986 - 1996. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, family and friends.
She was a member of the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church and Ladies Guild, Treasure Haus Volunteer in New Ulm, Bloodmobile and Granby Home Extension.
In lieu of flowers family prefers memorials given to donor’s choice.
