NEW ULM — Dolores Reinarts, 74, of rural New Ulm passed away peacefully at Immanuel-St. Josephs Hospital in Mankato on Wednesday, March 19, 2008.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 25, 2008 at the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in New Ulm with Monsignor John A. Richter celebrating the Mass. Burial will follow in the New Ulm Catholic Cemetery in New Ulm.

Visitation will be from 4 - 8 p.m. Monday and will continue from 7:30 a.m. until 10 a.m. on Tuesday at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in New Ulm. The Christian Mothers Society will pray the rosary on Monday at 4 p.m. at the Cathedral. There will be a parish prayer service at 5 p.m. and a rosary by the St. Elizabeth Catholic Aid Society at 6:30 p.m. both Monday at the funeral home.

Dolores is survived by her husband, Marvin H. Reinarts, of rural New Ulm; daughters and sons-in-law, Lori and Ron Haefner of rural Mankato, Patricia “Patti” and Mark LeGare of rural Lafayette, Julie Reinarts of New Prague, Katherine and Myron Schroepfer of Lake Crystal, Joan and Larry Giefer of Rochester; a son and daughter-in-law, Gerry “JR” and Lorie Reinarts of rural New Ulm, a son Michael Reinarts of rural New Ulm and his special friend, Tamara Franzman of Mankato; 15 grandchildren, five great grandchildren; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Betty Ubl of rural New Ulm, Beverly Ubl of New Ulm, Charlene Ubl of Mankato, Joleen and Tom Greene of Hopkins, LaVon and Sylvester Fischer of Lafayette, Dennis and Lorraine Reinarts of New Ulm, Lester and Gladys Reinarts of Sleepy Eye, and Leon Reinarts of Columbia Heights. Dolores was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Norbert, Francis, and Leonard Ubl, a sister, Marion Ubl, and a great grandson, Luke Sowers.

Dolores Theresa Ubl, the daughter of William and Anna (Zeug) Ubl was born on May 30, 1933 in New Ulm. She attended the St. John’s Catholic School in Searles. On April 22, 1952 Dolores was united in marriage to Marvin H. Reinarts at the Holy Trinity Catholic Church in New Ulm. She had worked at Eibner’s Restaurant and Stork Brothers Produce before her marriage and continued for a period of time after her marriage. When her husband returned home from his military duties they moved to a farm in Cambria Township, Blue Earth County, and raised their family. After their children were grown Dolores went back into the workforce working at Dittrich Specialties up until the time of her illness. Dolores was a caring and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Her enjoyments in life were spending time with her family at family get-togethers, tending to her flowers, gardening, the outdoors, cooking, baking, her special cat, Snowball, and her beautiful farm, which she so lovingly tended. She was a member of the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity, the Christian Mothers Society, and the St. Elizabeth Society.
