ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) — The mother of a Minnesota teenager who became an international sensation for recording a farewell song as he battled cancer is about to release a book.

Zach Sobiech would have turned 19 Saturday. He died almost a year ago after a four-year battle with bone cancer. The video of "Clouds" has been viewed more than 10 million times on YouTube, and the song hit No. 1 on iTunes.

This weekend will mark the release of "Fly a Little Higher," book by his mother, Laura Sobiech. The St. Paul Pioneer Press reports (http://bit.ly/1mi0n6Q ) she writes candidly about Zach's illness.

A fund in Zach's name has raised nearly $750, 000 for research so far. With proceeds from the book, Sobiech hopes it will top $1 million by the end of the year.
