MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — Authorities are on the scene along the Mississippi River in downtown Minneapolis to investigate a report of a car that went into the river.
Police got a report just before 9 a.m. Sunday of a car sinking in the river. It happened under a pedestrian bridge just downstream from the 10th Avenue Bridge. It wasn't immediately clear if anybody was inside.
The Hennepin County Water Patrol and emergency responders from other agencies are on the scene on both sides of the river.
The river is high and flowing swiftly in the area near the University of Minnesota campus.
