ST. CLOUD, Minn. (AP) — Federal safety officials are investigating the death of a window washer who fell about 70 feet at a hotel in St. Cloud.

Family members say 56-year-old Lee Teske was a self-employed window washer and worked alone. His sister, Dawn Witschen, tells the St. Cloud Times (http://on.sctimes.com/TSjgl ) her brother had experience washing windows in downtown Minneapolis and in St. Cloud.

Fire Battalion Chief Greg Newinski says the man was wearing a safety harness when first responders treated him Sunday evening. Teske fell onto a breezeway that connects the Kelly Inn to a convention center and then fell from the breezeway to the ground.

Officials from the Minnesota Occupational Safety and Health Administration were in St. Cloud Monday to investigate.
