you're correct, agitprop. big pharma is frustrated because they cannot patent a natural growing weed. they could patent a synthetic, but as we all know, synthetic drugs have side affects. I always say that anything found in nature in it's natural state is not usually harmful to humans.

The U of M and many other institutions would love to be able to do this, the reason they do not, is because it is against the law. Sorry to disappoint but could not find one case on where a kid got lung cancer from smoking marijuana, and it has been around a long time. If people can write on this post, they should also be able to use the internet to research worldwide marijuana studies, including govt patent 6630507. Also google, bing, or whatever Marijuana and Israel. Really there are 1,000's of studies.

Why doesn't medical marijuana go through the same hoops as other drugs? Seems if it had so much value, the University of Minnesota think tank would be all over it. Doesn't it seem strange that the legislative brach has established laws and procedure for introducing drugs, yet they choose not to follow in in this case. When the kid gets lung cancer or suffers a side affect, who will they sue?
