A couple of weeks ago, Twins manager Ron Gardenhire won his 1,000th game. It was a unique accomplishment. There are only 10 managers in the history of baseball to achieve that with one team....

GrandmaD is my main account. I'm a 46 year old college drop out that smokes weed. I just use this one to troll. Glad you appreciate the comments!

Good article. I also enjoy Grandma D. She hasn't been commentating as much lately. :)

GrandmaD brings much needed civility in what is often a very uncivil medium. Thanks for featuring her in your latest article.

And Randy, I have to take issue with your comment in this latest piece. Just because some people fail to grasp them doesn't your articles do not have a point. They are quite insightful and contain much meaning if people would simply bother to look.

I just logged on, and oh my, I am quite humbled. Actually, it is Randy K. who picks me up when I'm down, dusts me off, and sends me on my way. He makes me laugh, cry, ponder, appreciate, remember, and be thankful.

There is a special magic in writing about what touches your life through family, friends, neighbors, faith, sports, and happenings. I identify with and feel that magic with Randy's column.

There's a special magic in positive commenting, also. It makes me feel good inside. Oh, I know I have ruffled some feathers, but I do have to stand my ground at times. :)

I am proud of "Gardy" and his 1,000th win. There's, also, a special magic in such an achievement by a truly good guy. I totally understand what Mr. K. is talking about.

Thanks for everything, Randy, and God Bless. You are one of the good guys, too.

Great article, whether or not one agrees with your opinion, you still have a right to express it. It gives us a different perspective. Thanks for the great stories!

I am never sure if Randy gets these comments, but, I feel better knowing that my opinion gets read. The "written word" is unique. Emails, text messages, blogs, twitter, facebook all give us a vehicle to "be brave" with our comments. The thing that lacks in these anonymous comments is the courage to be able to stand behind your words. Randy - I believe that you do a nice job of capturing your viewpoint and emotions. This is never easy to do...but, you have the talent to do it well. In our "free county" of America - freedom of speech is one of our rights. With the freedom of "written word", we should be careful - and be accountable. Brain Harstad. New Richmond, WI. Randy K fan.
