The City of New Ulm relinquished ownership of the land several years ago. They traded it for the land that the school district owned where the EDA is now building houses. That land was for a future high school but ended up either being too small or the county road cut through it when it was rerouted. Either way,the city had not owned the land that the middle school sits on for several years.

This building had been for sale for quite some time. If you were interested, you could have made an offer.
