And deer-if you only pay for insurance for the the things you may get it would be prohibitavely expensive-the way insurance works is to spread the cost-that way when you need a heart transplant it will cover it even though all your premiums would not.

Deer-you can discount the effects of bush all you want-but when Obama leaves office -how long will you blame him? given the level of you hypocrisy I would say you willblame him for everything for years to come.

Aunty, not to disagree but my dentist said he argued with the insurance company trying to get it taken off and they said they couldn't. Just seems silly to have a dentist get charged for dental insurance for his own kids. I guess he could submit a bill for the work he does on his own kids and try to get paid, but that seems silly also. I think government is just getting to big, too fast.

Dental coverage for children is an essential health benefit. This means if you’re getting coverage for someone 18 or younger, dental coverage must be available as part of a health plan OR as a stand-alone plan. While it must be available to you, you do not have to buy it. If it is included in your group medical policy you are paying for it to be there for members, just as births are covered for members. Premium increases are based in part on group claims. It has always been like that.

By the way, I also pay for dental insurance ($23/month) for a newborn baby that doesn't have teeth!!

Look at the big picture, the news reports of low enrollment, both overall and of young people. The losses that insurance companies are taking right now. It doesn't take a genius to predict what's going to happen. You may see a little relief now, but look down the road. Sorry to say, no matter the party, the end consumer pays for it and this will happen. Please don't be so blind to not see the writing on the wall.

Zorro ,I talked to an insurance agent , he told me that last year insurance companies were trying to get as many new customers as possible. So that when the new insurance rates are out based on the government conditions for business ( which I don't know if Obama's 1 year delay will affect this) they will all be charging essentially the same thing . So when they increase the rates to meet the criteria of the new rules , people won't feel compelled to change as the prices will be the same from insurance company to insurance company. The insurance companies are only allowed a certain profit margin so they need as many policies as they can write to have increased profits. If they lose money the feds will bail them out. Sound familiar to the housing crisis? Thank you Democrats!

Zorro -just so you know ,Bush is no longer in office or relevant , let's focus on the one that is in the office, we can't go back and change history .We have 3 more years of this oaf, he needs to hear from the people and change his policies . Fact- we are now 17 trillion in debt and growing by a minimum of a 1/2 trillion a year . As far as health insurance , if it remains flat one year and goes up 30% the next , I would hardly consider that a good average. You can't blame insurance companies , their profits are regulated by the government. My dentist is forced to pay for dental insurance for his kids, there are no more choices anymore ,that's what happens when people pass bills without reading them. Thank you Democrats!

Deer-obama made those predictions based on the model developed by the Heritage Founation-a conservative think tank that came up with the ACA as a way to deal with health care using capitalism and personal responsibility. And if you want to compare th cost of "lies" bush told over 900 lies to get us into Iraq at a cost of 3-4 TRILLION and almost 5000 americans killed-and you call Obama a bad president? He is the one getting us out

deer-"There was some relatively good news in health care this year. U.S. employers and their employees saw the lowest health care premium rate increases in 2013 in more than a decade, according to global consultant Aon Hewitt." this is from the insurance journal

Here are some more illusions; if you like your doctor you can keep them. If you like your medical plan you can keep it. Your premiums will go down by $2,500 a year. I will close Gitmo my first year. I didn't know about the IRS targeting conservative groups until I heard it on T.V. Benghazi was about a video tape. I didn't know nothing about the roll out of Obamacare going badly until after it happened. This is the most incompetent person to ever serve in the White House ,yes even Jimmy Carter was more competent. You just keep living the dream.

Gary , I only wish our insurance going up was an illusion, reality - going to cost us $24,000 a year more. That's about a $1,000 a year more per employee, Thank you Democrats!

Zorro , we also had next to nothing for claims for the past years. You may want to call your agent and se what he thinks your policy is going to do next year. Unless you have an older group of employees your rates are going up . The older group and high risk was the only groups seeing reductions.

Zorro , our plan is not going up midyear, it is time for the annual renewal in August. We have been warned by our insurance agent of the upcoming increase, which is due to Obamacare. I can call him a liar if that makes you feel better. They are an independent agency and shop our insurance to different companies. We also go get quotes from other companies, unless you have some insurance to sell me that is cheaper , our rates are going up 30-35%. I was happy with my insurance that we used to have , thank you Democrats!

Deerhunt-no I will not find the same-our plan did not go up and cannot go up mid-year-also there are caps on how much they can increase your premiums. So again-for the first time in 16 years my premium did not go up-And much of the cost of you premium is based on how much the pool you are in used in services.

My property taxes went down last year, except for the school referendum went up. They went up something like 50% under Tim Pawlenty.

The only illusion is for anyone to think that we have done better with Republicans in the executive's seat, both at the Federal and State levels. Look at the messes that were created under the watch of Bush's and Pawlenty's administrations.
