I have no opinion either way, but the car crusher and the noise that comes with it were not there when those houses were built. That may be the issue at hand.

It sounds like the city and New Ulm Steel are working together toward a good compromise. These things take time.

To be fair, this business was proven to be out of compliance with the current city noise ordinance. One of the functions of City Council is to create, amend and enforce city ordinances and also to address concerns of taxpaying citizens. I don't see how taking a complaint to city council was inappropriate in this case or how any tax dollars were wasted. And to be clear, I have nothing to do with the dispute, I am just commenting as an observer to the situation.

This is really a non issue.. the business was there before most of these houses were. People always need something to complain about.I bet if they wanted to get rid of something that's where they'd take it.. wanna complain about something? Then complain about high gas prices or your neighborhood drug dealer.. but please quit wasting my tax dollars on frivolous stuff like a local business who was there before you were..
