I think that the vogel should use that outdoor patio outside of the pool that never gets used and add an addition building and have a little kids indoor wading pool there so even the tots can go swimming with out having to be carried around the pool or playing on the steps. That would make it more accessible for entire families to go to. It is a nice place, just isn't open enough for access and isn't great for 1-3 1/2 year olds.

I think they need to have the discussion and get community input. If this goes forward, it would be good to fund it with the 1/2 cent sales tax that is set to expire at some point in the coming years.

If they do build something, it would be nice to be something indoor/outdoor so that it could be used year-round in some capacity, yet have outdoor slides for summer use. It is too bad that the indoor pool never had any windows and/or sky lights in it to bring in natural light.

That is a great pool for lessons, but it gets used a lot and isn't the same as having water slides...big water slides.

I think the city better step back and hear what their residents want. If they don't have enough money for this project then get it from another area. The pool that is indoors is barely available for use. Mon, Wed, and Fridays and afternoon hours on weekends. Very inconvenient for people to accommodate their availability. It is sad that other towns are prospering. Towns much smaller than New Ulm as well as towns with the same population. Of course New Ulm needs a water park, they should have never gotten rid og the first one! If you want our youth and teens to be occupied with positive activities then provide them. Just don't say there is no money for it, create it! Grants, revamp budgets, citizen involvement. St Cloud created their own by their community because the city couldn't accommodate it. Get involved people!
