This editorial sounds familiar, The Journal keeps repeating the same "imperial president" line every few weeks. Nothing much is happening so they need to keep reminding us of the impending doom, any day now, you just wait, we told you so, here it comes, never mind, please subscribe to our paper so we can warn you.

President George H.W. Bush issued an executive order halting the importation of some semi-automatic firearms after a mass school shooting Stockton, California. His executive banned the shipment of assault weapons unless they were used for sporting purposes. Imperial President?

Oops. Wrong imperial president in my previous post. It's actually from the January 2006 NY Times, when a different president dictated orders to insurance companies; his administration ordering some changes to smooth the implementation of a new law. (Criminal behavior!)

“In a directive sent to all Medicare drug plans over the weekend, the Bush administration said they "must take immediate steps" to ensure that low-income beneficiaries were not charged more than $2 for a generic drug and $5 for a brand-name drug. In addition, insurers must cover a 30-day emergency supply of drugs that beneficiaries were taking prior to the start of the new program.”

Why was this directive made? Because over 6 million seniors faced the prospect of going without medications during the rollout of Medicare part D, due to computer glitches and lack of training for pharmacists.

The imperial President is at it again!

“In a directive sent to all ACA drug plans over the weekend, the Obama administration said they "must take immediate steps" to ensure that low-income beneficiaries were not charged more than $2 for a generic drug and $5 for a brand-name drug. In addition, insurers must cover a 30-day emergency supply of drugs that beneficiaries were taking prior to the start of the new program.”

There are bills pending in states about bullying. Wonder of the federal government will do something about bullying,
