Safer than what exactly because of their mass? A truck? A train? A charter bus? A rollover? There's plenty of kids of who have been killed in bus accidents (simple google search), so I don't understand the objection...

Do they really need seat belts? They are safer because of their size and mass.

"buses have so many more safety features" And yet they still don't have something as simple as seat belts. Why not? Name any other motor vehicle that doesn't (excluding motorcycles)? I guess our kids aren't worth the added cost....
