Build the refineries closer to the oil fields instead of shipping it by Railroad or pipeline. But alas the government doesn't want to build anymore refineries because than they couldn't control the price when they shut down the few we have in Texas for maintenance and create a shortage so they can raise the price of gas. I think I'd ra ther pay the Arabs they seem more trustworthy.

If the main reason for ethanol production is so the Arabs don't make tons of money I am against it. Now with all the oil being found in N Dakota and it being more refined than Arab oil it seems to me it would be easier to refine into gas and so we really don't need ethanol anymore once we build more oil refineries in the produce gas.

It comes down to how much is ethanol production using up our water supply. Is it worth making money for corn growers now or running out of water for our future.Ethanol production uses lots of water to make.
