December 13, 2013

For as long as 30 years, the wind power industry will be permitted to do something no one else can get away with, President Barack Obama has decreed....

Why the space between eagle and cide? It's not homo-cide or geno-cide. I assume it's because it's a made up word. The left has it's polar bears dying because of global warming and now the right has it's eagles being decapitaded by wind energy. Let the battle of the fuzzy animals begin!

It is nice to see the art of yellow journalism hasn't been lost on the Journal. Eagle-cide ? Really ? You do realize attaching the "cide" implies the willful and systematic destruction of an entire species (in this case) ? In your own piece you state wind turbines are responsible to killing dozens of eagles per year. Hardly eagle-cide when you consider more eagles are killed each year by other man-made means.

The clincher is when you go on to defend coal as a better alternative. I suggest you go on the Minnesota DNR site and read up on fish consumption limits due to the presence of mercury. Guess where that mercury comes from ? That's right coal plants. We won't even start with other toxins that are released by coal power plants.

Perhaps wind turbines are just the lesser of two evils ?

It's getting easy to identify these editorials that appear first in the Wheeling and Martinsburg,West Virginia papers. Imperial and arrogant are always good clues.

Clearly, President Obama must be impeached for allowing these dastardly deeds to prevail.

No self-respecting Republican could possibly stand idle and allow eagle-cide to continue.

We The American People must take back our bird and not allow the bird to be given to the treacherous wind ener-gists.

And, in conclusion, The Journal should be congratulated for its courageous stand against bird-giving.

Way to go.

Isn't Congress controlled by Republicans? Not that I think it matters in this case, but for the writer of this editorial to suggest that "the Democrats" won't do anything completely ignores the fact that they don't control Congress.

We all seem to be in agreement that this editorial is sloppy and ridiculous. The Journal should feel embarrassed that they even published it.

I wonder if The Journal staff ever wishes it could post a !!!REMOVED FROM THIS SITE!!! on some of the mandatory "editorials" shoved down their throats from corporate.

They must go home and down some serious brandy every other day, or so.

"The things one does for money."
