Thanks for your thoughtful letter.

I'm fairly certain I know why Nelly freaked out.

Animals have such a keen sense about the people around them.

Imagine what it must have been like for Ol' Nel to have been thrust into a crowd, surrounded by Republicans, Tea Party zealots and Bloozboy.

Poor gal. I hope she recovers fully.

But, I would understand if she didn't.

As with small children and all never know how they will react to situations. Glad it worked out for all involved. Poor horse just did not want to be in a parade that night! Ha

Poor little girl I hope she is ok. It was cold that night maybe she was just tired. Wind was blowing too. Give her a carrot for me. :)
