I feel bad for the many good clergymen whose reputations are questioned because of what the corrupt leadership of the catholic church has done. The catholic church has been riddled with corruption for centuries, at times worse than others.

Appears contacting the church in the past did not work so well. why do you think the church wants victims to contact them instead of law enforcement? the church can minimize what happened and sweep it under the rug. and yet people continue to give large amounts of money to that organization.

This serial child predator harmed many innocent kids, and there could be more. So let's hope that anyone who may have knowledge or may have been harmed by Marks, will come forward, get help, and contact law enforcement, not the church officials. They are not the proper officials to be investigating child sex crimes, no matter how long ago it happened. Sex abuse thrives in secrecy and secret systems that allow it to continue to this day Silence only hurts, and by speaking up there is a chance for healing, exposing the truth, and therefore protecting others.

Why is New Ulm the only catholic diocese in Minnesota and the Dakota's that does not tell folks to CONTACT LAW ENFORCEMENT to report childhood sexual abuse?
