This is not a new phenomenon nor is it dependent on todays technology-one needs look no father back in time than 1964 to the Murder of Kitty Genovese in Kew Gardens-the baby boomers were just as guilty of the same lack of action.

It's called the bystander effect and it's been around a lot longer than the Internet has. This just seems like yet another article bashing "those horrible millennials"

Baby boomer's kids were taught not to care and they taught their kids and here we are today. Shows the generational growth from King Kong to Donkey Kong to Grand Theft Auto to World destruction.
