October 17, 2013

As Senate Democratic and Republican leaders hammered out a deal to avoid forcing the U.S. to default on its debts Tuesday, House Republicans said they would take one more stab at a bill....

I would just recommend a slight modification to the "Pushmi-Pullyu" (pronounced "push me, pull you") so that it had two rear ends and no heads as there was no brains involved in any of what happened within the Republicans in Congress during this fiasco!

"Speaker Bonehead, congratulations on...on...everything."

"Huh? Wha...?"

"Sir, you look tired and your suntan looks like it's starting to run."

"Huh? Wha...?

"Well, Im sure it was all worth it. You've single-handedly managed to mess up the Republican brand."

"Huh? Wha...?"

"Have a special cigar, sir. Here, let me help you light it...and take in big puffs."

"Huh? Wha...?"

KAH--BLAM-O!!!!!

"Huh? Wha...?"

Thy can has been duly kicked yet again...

Could there be another Fiscal Cliff looming just over the horizon ?

There are two extremist factions in Washington. First we have Sven's good friends the Tea Party gang. Then we have Obama himself, too far to the left to be an effective president. Those two factions are a recipe for continued self-inflicted disasters.

It's time for moderates in both parties to step up and take control.

As for mascots, we need the blue dog to return to Washington.

I find it interesting that the blame goes solely to the Tea Party, I don't believe they were around when the existing parties were busy running up these debts. We now spend 20% of our taxes received just to pay the interest on our national debt. We don't pay off the principal but instead want to increase the debt. What happens if there is another economic crisis and tax revenue drops- oh that's right, you guys say print more money. At least these 80 people are thinking about our kids and not living for the moment. Real leaders lead in a time of crisis , not call one another terrorists ,hostage takers, tea baggers - that really helps in a negotiation. If you were trying to buy a car , would you call the salesman - bozo ,stupid, bet you wouldn't get a good deal.

There is a tipping point with debt, the point where you can no longer pay the debt because the interest is eating up the payments- we keep inching closer. I am starting to feel we should let the Democrats have everything they want and get it over with so we can start over- why delay the suspense. Don't blame Washington solely either, they get there because people vote for who will get them the most money- we have created are own mess. When we finally realize this and start voting for people that want to clean it up - and it will cost us all , that is when there will be hope for some real change. We put a guy in the presidency who hadn't run a thing in his life, first thing he does in the middle of an economic crisis is create a healthcare system that is way over budget and can't even keep their computers from crashing. I am sure he will straighten it out , using his vast experience at running things.

The best part of the TP/GOPper meltdown was the stunning emergence of Ted "Smarmy" Cruz as the front-running Republican candidate for 2016.

He's so perfect. He's so Texan.

Please, please, please, nominate him.

Congratulations are in order for President Obama, the Democrat Party and Svensota and his ilk who voted them in. Fundamental transformation is complete and, thanks to the weak, pathetic republicans, we are now officially a benevolent dictatorship.

If you disagree, tell me what you would call a "president" who successfully shouts down all opposition, indiscriminately spends money that we don't have, forces laws through at all costs, and then picks and chooses who must abide by those laws and the rest of the laws on the books (ie. D.O.M.A, immigration, securities trading)?

President Bush (43) got us close to this point, but President Obama dragged us all over the goal line. Once again, CONGRATULATIONS!

By the way, the new mascot should be a counterfeit $100 bill.

Or an inflatable $100 bill...

Every puff of air that goes into it buys you less, though.

Puke:

We have missed you. I thought maybe you had run away in embarrassment. So, I wanted to find you and give you a great big hug, like JR suggested.

For now, I will simply give you an answer to your thoughtful question: I would call President Barrack Hussein Obama , The Commander-in-Chief.

Three more years and several months to go.

Isn't it wonderful!

We just got our notice today. Our health insurance will go from $1,189 per month to $1,510 as of January 1st.

Thank you, Svensota. This is awesome!!

The increase was probably a result of a previous condition, like dunderheadedness.

Hugs.

Make no doubt about it , your increase is due to one party ramming a bill through without even reading it. You can blame solely the Democrats for this increase, this will be the first of many. They tested the software for the rollout a week before , using a program that is ten years old, instead of consulting with say a Yahoo or Amazon, this administration decided they were once again smarter than the rest of us. On MSNBC the guest ( a computer programmer )said that by looking at the script that came up on the error message , he could tell that whoever wrote the program was an amateur. Maybe it was Joe Biden in his spare time. I can't wait for 4 years of Hillary , that should about totally ruin our economy. That should make Sven all warm and fuzzy.

The infrastructure was written on a no-bid $635 million contract by a company based in Toronto (That is in Canada, Svensota).

Apparently Larry Page and Sergey Brin from Google, and Mark Zuckerberg from Facebook were too busy writing programs in the United States that actually work.

Too bad. That kind of money could have helped ease our stubborn 7.5% unemployment. But, I guess Canadians have to work too. Turns out, just not very well.

Maybe when President Obama bought his two $1 million campaign buses in Canada he got a deal on this cool web based healthcare program. Maybe he should have been elected Prime Minister of Canada. That would have helped both of us out.

No, sorry Svensota, no changes in health. No preexisting conditions. The only change is the palace coup that apparently took place in Washington, D.C., unbeknownst to the general population.

And to think, those crazy Tea Partiers are revisiting the 240 year old idea of taxation without representation. What a bunch of looneys.

Reason2puke, don't worry , Sven has full confidence in his "King" Obama. The King has a history of managing business and stuff like that. He knows how to run a campaign of promise everything to the average person and we will take it from the evil rich person who didn't need it anyway. Who wouldn't vote for someone like that, vote for whoever will give you free stuff, even if we have to borrow more money to do it. We have become a society of greed at our children's expense. Even animals in the wild have more common sense.

But Svensota is so well read and extensively educated. He can't be wrong. Can he? Surely common sense can't trump all of that.

Well, I'll be whoopered. I've always thought Canada was part of the United States. They're very nice people, and I don't see why you have to be so bitter towards our fellow North Americans. It's bad enough that you guys want to build walls and barricades and machine gun nests to keep out our Latino friends to the south.

Try being a little more civilized. What goes around comes around. Canada is probably buying a bunch of stuff from us even as I write this tender note to you.

Your responses may be priceless, as far as you know Svensota, but it is your president that I can no longer afford.

It won't matter very soon anyway. According to Al Gore, the carbon bubble is about to burst. And he invented the internet, and he was the subject of the 1970's epic love story, "Love Story", so he would know. Too bad he couldn't have moved to Canada for the past couple of years to bid on that no-bid healthcare infrastructure behemoth. He could have made some serious dough on that one. I think he became a frustrated billionaire when he was in the Whitehouse and was politically owned by billionaires. Possibly his masseuse could tell us. There, did I hit all of the Algore highlights?

So Obama hires Canadians to write our healthcare web site ? No wonder you have to wait so long to get logged in.

I heard Ed Snowden is looking for a new job maybe he should get hired to fix things.

The ACA is the new working example of what is meant by "the federal government is not equipped to manage massive benevolence programs". It is the explicit reason why these types of programs are not authorized by anything in our constitution.

Prediction: When it finally is tagged definitively as a failure, it will be the fault of the obstructionist republicans, not because it was a bad idea in the first place.

Question: When Obamacare fails, will private insurance companies accept O-care subscribers back into the private insurance world, or are we headed toward another layer of chronically uninsured Americans who abuse the emergency rooms for their primary care?
