Just make sure that Officer Rasmussen stays in one of the older Crown Victorias, just in case he needs to do a high speed chase. I would imagine that the explorers are slightly more likely to roll.

I wonder which vehicle has a lower cost to operate ? It seems something with 4 wheel drive would be more expensive to maintain & operate.

Those old Crown Victorias won't last forever. A new Taurus Police Interceptor retails for around the same price as an Explorer.
