So was the Pope mis-speaking when referring to "goodwill" ? His statment is a direct contradiction to your statement regarding the church's stance on homosexuality.

It also appears you do not subscribe to the statement "hate the sin while you love the sinner".

Your references to a highly flawed and refuted study, a single case in LA, and a quote from George Orwell clearly indicate your hatred for both the sin and the sinner. You attempt to characterize an entire group of people based on the behaviors of just a few. That would be like calling all Catholics bigots based on the letters you submit to the Journal. We know in both cases these statements are not true.

Also, for the record, there are literally hundreds of species that have frequently documented homosexuality. And, within these case, quite a few have monogamous homosexual relations, including countless bird species, dolphins,chimps,etc...

Phil; I stand by my good parents comment. Texas is the last place I would look for any kind of rational thinkers. The marriage license will make a big difference. If the children of gay people have had more problems it is because of people who subscribe to that stupid bible thing and bully any one that doesn’t subscribe to what they think that archaic book says. This is the 21st not the 14th century. My allegiance is to America not Rome. It seems you may not be “fully” American. The pope has no sway with me, none.

The Regenerus study compared intact opposite-sex-parent families with divorced families where one of the parents was gay, lesbian, or bisexual. It did NOT compare them with intact same-sex-parent families, so any claims that are based on that assumption are flawed.

For the author to cite the severely flawed and thoroughly discredited Regnerus Hoax in defense of his thesis is indefensible. That work of fiction was commissioned & paid for by a fundamentalist hate group, and the two “academics” responsible for ramming it through peer review for expedited publication have been shamed, and are resisting enormous pressure to publish a retraction.

Citing the Regnerus Hoax is like citing the Westboro Baptist Church.

Other anti-gay Fundies who cite the Regnerus Hoax include the embattled evangelist Pastor Scott Lively, currently on trial for inciting human rights abuses against the LGBT community in Uganda. Pastor Lively was previously famous for having opened a Christian teen coffee shop and then hiring a child molester to run it.

Or Mr. Bryan Fisher, who would like LGBT people to be arrested and put to death.

Russia is another a big fan of the Regnerus Hoax. How’s that been going?

I think the author doth protest too much.
