Another fall-out of the increased spending habits of the state legislature. They cut support to counties and cities to fund their high-profile causes (education for example) and then allow the counties and cities avenues, like this wheelage and sales tax initiative, to increase their taxes, making them look like the "bad guy" for increasing taxes. The state meanwhile, increased the taxes on "only the top 2%". Indirectly, they caused this wheetage tax. Maybe the top 2% are the only ones that drive cars in Brown Cty....
